Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Driving Educators Academy Inc. operating under the website www.drivingeducator.ca. By enrolling in our driving school course, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

1. Course Program

  • The course consists of a minimum of 20 hours of E-Learning, 10 hours of homework, and 10 hours in an Automatic Vehicle with a qualified instructor.
  • Students must create their account online and follow provided instructions.

2. Fees

  • The course fee shall be the basic discount price as advertised, excluding taxes or any other necessary disbursements.
  • Fees may vary due to promotions, coupons, or other discounts.
  • Down payment and installment options are available, with full payment authorized before 8 months or completion of the course.

3. Refunds

  • Refunds are available if the student drops out within 30 days, minus hours attended, plus a $100.00 Administration fee, applicable fee, and HST.
  • No refunds after 30 days of starting or failure to complete the entire program within 8 months.

4. Additional Charges

  • Charges for using the school car for a road test are not included in the course fee. Details available upon request.

5. Insurance Discount Certificate

  • Students seeking an Insurance Discount certificate must comply with current Course Content and Delivery Standards (CCDS) of the Ministry (MTO), provided to the “Course Provider” (Hi-Tech Driver Education). Details available upon request.

6. Completion Requirements

  • The complete course, including all classroom and driving hours, must be completed within 8 months of starting the course.
  • Driving time per day must not exceed 90 minutes after attending the classroom and 3 hours on other days.

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Responsibility lies with the customer to cancel road test appointments at the MTO if unable to attend.

8. Responsibilities

  • The contract is with the school, not individual instructors. All arrangements regarding payments, rates, and services should be made directly with the school.
  • Students must behave civilly and comply with instructor instructions during all training periods.

9. Requirements

  • Students must have their learner’s license, eye-glasses, or contacts at all times during training and the road test.

10. Complaint Procedure

  • Legitimate complaints should be directed to the Manager of the school in writing within 7 days of the incident.

11. Cancellation by School

  • In-car appointments may be canceled by the school on short notice due to various reasons beyond its control.

12. E-Learning

  • Students are responsible for following the E-Learning Course (subject to change) to make up required hours.

13. Release of Information

  • Consent is given to release information contained in the contract to relevant authorities.

14. Denial of Certificate

  • The school may deny a certificate for failure to meet required hours or failing evaluations conducted by the school at the course’s end.

  • Students acknowledge reading, understanding, and agreeing to the contract terms.

16. Return of Documents

  • Students must return to the school within two weeks of completing the entire program to pick up their Driver’s License History.
